2021 Nissan Frontier - P1612 Immobilzer DTC Code

Question

My EVO-ALL with the NIST4 harness has been great for a few years, but just the other day the vehicle did not start and then set off the alarm due to the failure.  My OBD scanner flagged a P1612 DTC CODE related to the ECU & Immobilzer that comes back immediately after clearing.  Anyone seen this?  I suspect the EVO module somehow lost its key bypass coding, because if I tape up my NISSAN FOB to the key antenna I can get a remote start with my EVO remote since the vehicle has a key active   How can the bypass programming get corrupted, and has anyone ever seen this?  Strang one.
