Can an EVO-START LTE use a local SIM card to work outside Canada and the USA?

Hello Fortin Support,

I have a working EVO-ONE installation and would like to add smartphone remote-start control. I understand that EVO-START LTE coverage is limited to Canada or the USA, depending on the version purchased.

Is it possible to replace the supplied SIM card with a local mobile-network SIM so that the EVO-START can operate in other countries, specifically South Africa?

Could you please clarify:

- Is the SIM replaceable, and can the device's APN be configured for a local provider?

- Would compatible cellular bands and a local data SIM be sufficient, or do firmware, activation, subscription or Fortin server restrictions prevent it from working outside the supported countries?

- If a SIM swap is not supported, is there an international version or a compatible phone-control module you recommend for use with the EVO-ONE in South Africa?

If the answer differs between EVO-START models, please let me know which models support this, if any.

Hello All, Admin, Fortin,

Hello im looking to bring Fortin remote starter abroad. Specifically in the Philiipines. I assume it would work the same for the same model cars here in Canada in example Toyota RAV4 Toyota Camry, Honda Civic Honda pilot Honda Accord, and any other same models. But how about the other models in the Philippines or in Asia.

I also assume that car manufacturers like Toyota would have very much likely the same wiring, the same security and maybe the same everything with just a little bit difference in programming for different models.

there is a big market in the Philippines and all over Asia for a remote starters as well. They would like their AC is running in the hot weather just like here in Canada we want our heaters running during winter.

right now in the Philippines they are using this Remote starter named car professor, which I haven’t heard about before.

so yeah I’m looking to bring Fortin remote starters in the Philippines, and possibly some other Asian countries.

Do you provide international shipping for consumers? I'm in Saudi Arabia and there are no distributers in the country. If not, will you cancel sales taxes if I used a shipping agent that would receive products in the U.S. and send them to me?

Moreover, How can I add T-harness to the cart? there is no button for it.
